From new dock construction to deck rebuilds, boat lifts and seawall repair — St. Pete Dock & Deck has been the waterfront contractor St. Pete homeowners trust since 2012. Licensed, insured, and built to handle salt, sun and storms.
We're not a general remodeler that dabbles in docks. Waterfront work is all we do. That means we understand tidal swings in Boca Ciega Bay, the permitting process through the City of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County, and exactly which materials survive years of salt spray and Florida sun.
Every project starts with an on-site visit and a clear, written quote — no vague ballpark numbers, no surprise change orders halfway through. When we say a price in your driveway, that's the price you pay.

"Our dock pilings were leaning bad after the last storm. They came out within a couple days, gave a fair written price, and the new dock is rock solid. Crew cleaned up everything."
"We went with composite decking and could not be happier. No more splinters, no more sealing every year. The string-light setup at sunset is unreal. Highly recommend these guys."
"They handled the permit, the boat lift install, and the dock all in one shot. Communication was great the whole way through. Finally have a setup I trust my boat on."

Yes. Waterfront construction in St. Petersburg and Pinellas County requires permitting, and we manage that process for you — from the application through inspections. It's part of every quote we write.
It depends on length, water depth, decking material and whether a boat lift is included. Most residential docks fall in a broad range, which is exactly why we do a free on-site visit and give you a firm written number rather than a guess.
Both work well here. Pressure-treated wood costs less up front; composite costs more but resists salt, sun and rot and needs almost no maintenance. We'll walk you through the trade-offs for your specific spot on the water.
Once permits are in hand, many docks and decks are built within one to two weeks depending on size and weather. We give you a realistic schedule with your quote and stick to it.
Yes — we're a fully licensed contractor carrying general liability insurance. We're happy to provide documentation before any work begins.
Both. A huge part of our work is repairing storm and age damage — replacing pilings, decking, hardware and seawall caps — to extend the life of what you already have.
We build both. Fixed docks are anchored to pilings and ideal for most St. Pete waterfront properties. Floating docks rise and fall with the tide and are a great option in areas with large tidal swings or where regulations require minimal bottom disturbance. We'll recommend the right type after our site visit.
Yes — boat lift installation is one of our most common add-ons. We install hydraulic and electric boat lifts from leading brands, sized to fit your vessel. Bundling the lift with dock construction saves time and keeps your project under one permit.
For Florida's coastal environment, we recommend composite decking materials like Trex or TimberTech. They resist salt spray, UV rays, and moisture far better than pressure-treated wood, and require no annual sealing. Many homeowners in Snell Isle, Shore Acres, and Tierra Verde are switching to composite for its longevity.
Signs of a failing seawall include cracks, leaning or bowing panels, sinkholes forming behind the wall, or erosion under your lawn near the waterline. We inspect the full seawall, identify weak points, and can perform cap repairs, panel replacement, or full seawall rebuilds depending on severity. Early repair is always cheaper than waiting.
Yes. We regularly work in Gulfport, Tierra Verde, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, South Pasadena, Shore Acres, Snell Isle, Pinellas Point, and Apollo Beach. If you're on Tampa Bay or a connected waterway, give us a call — we'll let you know if we service your area.
It depends on the scope of work. Minor repairs like replacing a few deck boards often don't require a permit, but structural work — replacing pilings, extending a dock, or rebuilding sections — typically does. We handle all permit applications in Pinellas County and the City of St. Petersburg so you don't have to.
